Heavenly Prayer at 38,000 Feet

It's a window seat. It's my seat. Flight 012; El Al. The local time must be around 7 or 8 or 9 A.M. and, according to the map on my screen, we are somewhere between Halifax and Lisbon, I guess. It doesn't really matter.
I have just completed my morning prayers. Nothing unusual about that. It's something I've done every day for the past...er...many years. Of course, I'm usually 38,000 feet closer to the ground and in a synagogue when I pray, but the words are very much the same.
I like prayer and I'll tell you why ...........

GOD Heard Their Cry

When Dorothy Baker-Hines, the mayor of Macon, Mississippi received the phone call telling her that Tom Hamill was okay, she said, "Praise the Lord," and started crying. For three weeks after Hamill was kidnapped and held by Iraqi captors, prayer vigils were held for him every night down at his hometown courthouse. The mayor credits God for Hamill's safe escape and his returning home.
"…We're going to try to really get organized tomorrow, and, you know, call it the Tommy Hamill welcome home party and have the parade and try to have some good Southern food for him. And then maybe end up with a prayer vigil and just praise the Lord and just sing and just have a good time together in the Lord."
Even in an age of naturalistic science and skepticism, millions still go to their knees, ................

25th Anniversay

He has returned back from Afghanistan and this is where we will be for the next few weeks. So until then, the News of the End of the World and the the actual dates of destiny written by Daniel the Date Setter ....
