Building the New American Empire: More Future Shocks (Part 3)

Topic: Roman Empire Strikes Again
by Al Martin
So what else can we expect? To continue with the Patriot II agenda of the Bush Cabal, there are two other powers, which will be given to law enforcement. For the first time, they will have the ability to issue so-called “secret subpoenas” without going before a grand jury. The grand jury process will be bypassed. In addition, the subpoenas do not have to be disclosed to the court or to the public.

A district attorney, state attorney, United States Attorney or the Attorney General could start issuing these subpoenas in secret, and these subpoenas would be served by Federal Marshals in secret. They would be non-recorded subpoenas, in other words. The US Marshals Office, which would be charged with delivering federal subpoenas, doesn’t have to record the subpoenas internally before they deliver them. This is a very sinister power to grant to law enforcement. In other words, whoever issues them would be tracking them – but that’s all. They don’t want the US Marshals Office to have a record that a congressional investigating committee could later subpoena as well.

This is absolutely unprecedented. Not even in the Third Reich were subpoenas issued secretly without judicial consent or review and without a grand jury – even if it was a puppet.

The enactment of secret subpoenas would be specifically contrary to due process of law.

Also the Patriot II Act provides for a “vast” expansion in the classification of “crimes against the State,” for which citizen- perpetrators would be eligible for the death penalty. As to specifics, the Bush administration is not elaborating – nor will they.

They’re not stating what the classification of said crimes would be. They’re saying in effect by the expansion of classification is that under the Sedition and Treason acts and various violations of national security. How much expansion that means – who knows?

When John Ashcroft made an off the cuff remark in his tour, he said that it was his opinion that this would include any American citizens who openly criticized and campaigned against, or attempted to disseminate any information exposing government operations that are supposed to be kept secret, or attempted to get information from any American citizen who was in prison as being denied the right of counsel.

In other words, if Mr. Jones were to publicly identify where Mr. Smith, (who has been charged in secret with some violation of state security) has been incarcerated, then Mr. Jones, the revealer of that information, could qualify for the death penalty.

Its real intent, I believe is to have a very chilling effect on any would-be whistleblowers and/or defense attorneys, as well as newspapers and any publication, which would reveal such information.

But this is getting very serious. People ask me incessantly on radio shows what can we do about it.And I say that if you don’t know how (and I don’t mean working at your 9 to 5 job; that’s over and that will never get you anywhere) to make money in the markets, and you don’t know what to do with your profits and convert them into gold, then you will simply become Bushonian CILF Fodder (CILF is Civilian Inmate Labor Facility)

So in terms of “what can we do about it?” there’s nothing you can do about it. It has already happened. You the people have already allowed it to happen. You can’t turn back the clock. And the people who still think they have rights can be “Circumspect in the CILFs” and think about your “rights.” When you’re working in the labor camp picking carrots, you can think about the rights you used to have.

And now another member of the Regurgitated Right, Victoria Toensing has appeared once again in the media. She was formerly the Deputy Associate Attorney General (1984-1988) who was a principal figure in the File Gate Scandal, and was in fact forced out of government because of it.

The File Gate Scandal took place when George Bush Sr. ordered Toensing to surreptitiously break into CIA and National Security files on Bill and Hillary Clinton and other members of the Clinton Cadre to look for dirt. Toensing had then proffered a deal to the New York Times and Washington Post to leak out classified materials that the government had.

Toensing was on Washington Review with the ACLU and even though she was always a fervent Bush Cabalist they put her on the spot with the truth so that she simply could not deny it. Toensing was forced to admit that with the passage of the Patriot II Act, a linkage could be specified between seditious publication and utterance and certain First Amendment rights groups, such as anti-war/ peace demonstrators (and get this Republican lingo) anti- world financial order demonstrators, i.e. those who demonstrate against IMF, World Bank or WTO meetings. This would also affect animal rights activists, environmental activists and abortion activists.

They are concerned about all types of dissent, and that’s what this bill is meant to address, to link seditious behavior to all types of dissent, anyone of any group any citizen who would verbalize criticism of the State, its laws and the Bushonian Regime and its policies.

Toensing said that there is a growing concern in the Bush administration of crimes being committed against corporations. She said that this is going to stop and that those who would commit crimes against corporations swill be construed as being in violation of sedition laws and as is specified under Statute 792 – 94 US Title Code 18 and further specified under National Security Act as amended 1949-50, Statutes 409-411 and Statutes 432.

But Toensing was caught off guard and she was sandbagged with the truth. There was no Bushonian lie and no sloughing off that could overcome this direct assault of the truth. But she is a member of the Regurgitated Right that they’ve cleaned up off the shelf. Everybody’s forgotten her past association to the Reagan Bush Regime. Everyone has forgotten what she has done, that she orchestrated the shredding of the so-called “sensitive files” in the Bush I administration.

It should be noted that it was all males that they were regurgitating, namely Dick Armitage, Elliott Abrams, Oliver North and others. They needed to regurgitate a couple of females -- for balance.

Vicky used to be quick witted like North. Anytime North is ever confronted with the truth about the Reagan Bush regime, he immediately deflects it by saying that people who criticize are unpatriotic. That’s the traditional deflection. But Vicky couldn’t manage that kind of deflection and finally she just admitted its intent – to target citizen groups and individual citizens who are committing crimes against corporations and are attempting to seek shelter from the consequences of those crimes under First Amendment rights actions.

The ACLU spokesperson made a point of this – that they will begin to target abortion protesters and link their behavior to sedition. They will begin to paint abortion protesters as “unpatriotic” and dangerous to the security of the State.

The AMA has consistently exerted pressure against the Bush administration to crack down on abortion protesters. After all, the AMA has given the Republican Party untold millions The ACLU noted this in a letter they had from the head of the AMA to the Bush administration, asking that they crack down on abortion protesters. Every time they send one of these letters, they send a check for a million dollars to the RNC.

As the ACLU points out, the Bush administration is now just paying lip service to the Religious Right because it knows that this is where only 20-25% of its votes comes from. The Religious Right are comprised of middle class people who have also been severely affected by Bushonomics. Thus, the Religious Right is not the source of rich financial pickings for the Bush Cabal that it used to be. Therefore, corporations and professional organizations will be the only source of campaign money they will depend on.

The Bush Cabal intends to protect corporate interests at all costs, and the Patriot II Act furthers the Bushonian agenda of protecting corporations and consolidating their power within a future corporate-government power structure. The Democrats, as the ACLU points out, are having similar problems, i.e. they can not protect nor champion the causes of these First Amendment rights groups anymore because these groups don’t have any money.

The problem is that most of these First Amendment groups are comprised of middle class people. When you hear about the animal rights groups, you hear that they have Hollywood types out front but the nuts and bolts of these groups are still middle class people – and they have no money.

Victoria Toensing said that the middle class has been stripped of all their money so these groups they represent should not have any more power in society. And she’s right. No money – no power. That is the ultimate reality. Whose fault is it that they don’t have any money – because they’re not smart enough to make it?

Or should we say smart enough to steal it?

There is a growing rift between the Bush Cabal and the Religious Right and this cannot be repaired. Jerry Falwell accurately points out that Bushonian economic policies have become anti-family, by their very nature.

Bushonomics promotes ever increasing economic instability, and the Far Right understands this. This in itself is a warning sign – the way the Bush administration is effectively alienating and foregoing or writing off what little constituency they have left – the hard-core bottom-line they have effectively written off.

In the last analysis, when you have the power to create an incident that would then empower you to postpone or cancel elections (compared to owning the voting machines) you don’t need to pander to any constituency any more.

The creation of a terrorist incident to cancel elections would fit the bill and that would be the end game. This would be however sold to the American people as a temporary measure – “temporarily” postponing the elections because of the “crisis.” The American people would then start waving the flag around and support it. We have this crisis and Bush is the strong guy and we might get a wimpy Democrat in.

You know that if George Bush cancelled the elections and effectively seized power in perpetuity for the Cabal – the American people would rush in to support it.

This policy can be used quite handily by the Bush Cabal. They can say they don’t need any more pork for Republican constituents. They can say they don’t have to play any favorites any more like the Democrats do. They can say you don’t see us throwing bones any more to the Religious Right, or to the black Republicans or to the Log Cabin Republicans. We don’t have to do that, but the Democrats still have to do that.

You don’t have to politically pander any more when you control the voting machines and you have the ultimate “lawful” ability to cancel elections in perpetuity that can not be challenged.

Sir George Bush Sr. was recently interviewed by the BBC and he was laying out an agenda for America for the next 30 years. He kept saying “this is what we must do” and I have discussed this with members of my administration. He said the US will have to build its armed forces to 3 million combat ready men in arms. He said that we may have to be in “dozens of countries over the next 30 years” to maintain “world stability.” He further said that he was not optimistic on the Iraqi situation because we still have only 150,000 troops and he had told his son that this was not nearly enough to stabilize the situation. He said we should have had 250,000 immediately after the cessation of hostilities. The United States, he said ,should stop cooperating with any of our allies in terms of putting international forces or agreements regarding (and he kept using this term) “the stabilization of the world.”

The way he is describing it -- “3 million troops” and “dozens of countries" – he's effectively describing, not the stabilization, but the occupation of the world

Bush Sr. also said that the Patriot I Act and the Patriot II Act don’t go far enough, and he said we've got to strengthen the Civilian Defense Force and the Neighborhood Watch Association. He also said we must begin to identify citizens who are patriotic and who would be prepared to potentially take up arms to support their government and quell domestic unrest in the future. According to him, any patriotic citizen would be willing to do this—particularly if they’re getting paid for it.

Give the average American citizen an American flag made in China, and tell them they can have a gun, a badge, a hat and a whistle, and you’ll have the whole United States under control right quick. They sell out cheap.

Sir George Bush had enough specific numbers that you can tell that there's a plan behind all of this. The funny thing about the interview was that he made his son sound like a buffoon who didn’t know what he was doing. Bush Sr. said that he and “the others” (he wouldn’t specify who they were) have formulated long-term plans for the US role for the world.

He also said the American people should be prepared to expect annual defense budgets of a trillion dollars or more

In the meantime, I’m just waiting for my Neighborhood Watch Association to get into gear with the Patriot II Act. They’ve already bought the triangular “State Security” street signs. They already have the golf carts with the American Imperial Eagle that says NWA on it. They already have the orange and black State Security hats with the whistles and clipboard and American red white and blue armbands and the heraldic seal in the middle.

So I was thinking, I’ve got to get in the swing of things. You could even say that Al Martin, when the Patriot II Act is passed, is going to get a toothbrush mustache. And, of course, I’ve got to order the toga now.

We’re considering opening a new State Security boutique. We don't know which way it's going so you’ll be able to buy both the black leather trench coats AND togas. You could call it one-stop shopping for the NEW Bushonian Age.

You’ll have to have the cotton toga for summer and the wool toga for winter. Of course, to make the outfit complete, you’ll have to get the imperial staff and the golden laurel leafed crown. We like the sound of AMR Imperial Boutique. What do you think?

But we’re hedging our bets. We don’t know where it’s going, so we’re going to have togas, as well as black leather trench coats, jackboots and swagger sticks and mustache wax -- for the urban dwellers.

The togas would be more appropriate for summer wear -- for your summer estate or your bungalow on the beach. And that’s what you’ll have – if you’re an FOB (Friend of Bush).

But these will be your choices. If you don’t want to end up as a have-not, you should prepare now.

(To be continued…)
